Neumann’s Soluble Business Re-Groups
The Neumann Kaffee Gruppe has been active in soluble coffee and related products since 1978. The company’s two operations dealing with these products have been Instant Produkte Ihnen Handelsges mbH in Hamburg, Germany, and Rothfos Corporation in White Plains, New York. The continued growth of this market segment has led the company to form one company - Instant Products International, Inc. - which will consist of two operative units, one in New York, and the other in Hamburg, Germany. Thus Instant Produkte Ihnen Handelsges mbH has been renamed Instant Products International, Inc. taking effect immediately. Instant Products International, Inc. has now been formed in New York and will take over the soluble business from Rothfos Corp.

Susan Korry has been appointed joint c.e.o. of Instant Products International, Inc. together with Tom Minogue. Minogue will also continue as c.f.o. of Rothfos Corp. Susan Korry will be responsible for the global activities of the new business unit. Philip Blaber will continue to be the senior sales manager in the Hamburg office.

Teeccino Caffe Appoints Tepper
Teeccino Caffe has appointed Robert Tepper, president of Sunrise Brand Management, as national sales manager for natural and specialty foods. Tepper and his team of three territory managers will manage the brand Teechino Caffeine-Free Herbal Coffee. In addition, Candace Stuart-Findlay of Results Marketing has been appointed foodservice manager for Natural Foods.
Monin Appointments
Monin Gourmet Flavorings, manufacturers of flavored syrups, have named David Callahan national accounts director. He formerly served as national accounts sales manager at Unilever Bestfoods. Anthony Munoz also joins Monin as eastern regional manager, responsible for developing gourmet, foodservice and chain restaurant accounts.
Red Diamond Promotions
Red Diamond Coffee & Tea, tea and coffee manufacturers located in Birmingham, Alabama, have made the following promotions: Sherman S. Pitts has been named vice president finance and c.f.o.; Paul L. Johnson has been named vice president coffee and tea; Steve M. Chain is now assistant vice president private label. Also, Jan A. Lay is assistant vice president information services, Steve A. Lowrey is assistant vice president coffee and tea, and Mira P. Veitch is assistant vice president personnel.

Founded in 1906, Red Diamond Coffee & Tea is one of the three oldest coffee and tea companies in the nation continuously operated by members of the same family, for four generations. Red Diamond products are available in restaurants, hotels, offices, hospitals and homes across the southeast parts of the U.S. Red Diamond Food Service offers its customers over 6,000 beverage and foodservice products.

Wright Joins Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf
Lisa Wright joins the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, specialty coffee and tea retailer, as senior manager of marketing. Wright brings 11 years of experience in advertising, brand development and marketing to the position. She will be responsible for managing the company’s marketing programs, external advertising agencies and consumer communications. Wright was previously with Baskin-Robbins and the Dupuis Group, where she worked with the Disney Interactive division of the Walt Disney Co.
Kauai Names Soares
Donn Soares has been promoted to general manager of Kauai Coffee Co., Inc. the largest coffee estate in Hawaii and the U.S. He will be assuming responsibility for all operating and marketing functions, said Kauai Coffee president Frank Kiger. Kauai Coffee is a subsidiary of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. Soares joined the company in 1996 as manager, eastern sales and was promoted in 1998 to national sales manager. He is a board director recently for the Pacific Coast Coffee Association.

In 2003, Kauai Coffee produced more than 3.3 million pounds of coffee, accounting for 60% of Hawaii’s statewide production.
