Tetley and Good Earth Teas Integrate Operations

Tetley USA recently integrated the U.S. sales, marketing and finance operations of its Tetley and Good Earth Tea Brands.

Tetley USA president Jeffrey Freeman leads the company headquartered in Santa Cruz, California. Tetley veterans Ron Stroup, Clive Rowlandson and Mike Clark are leading the new sales, marketing and finance teams, respectively.

The Good Earth Brand is growing due to new distribution and marketing in Canada, Australia and the UK. Good Earth has made product specific improvements and now uses 100% recycled tea cartons with up to 90% post consumer materials.

Hostelco Show in October

From October 17-21, 2008, the International Hotel and Catering Equipment Show, will open the upper floor of hall 2 in the Montjuïc exhibition centre to satisfy the demand for space requested by companies from the household & tableware and furniture & decoration sectors. Hostelco will divide exhibits into the following areas: Control, Information Technology and Safety; Textiles and Uniforms; Food and Beverages for Hotel and Catering; Expolimp (equipment and products for laundry, dry cleaning, hygiene and cleaning in general); Intervending (automatic distribution); Food Service; Service Companies and Coffee Area.

New features at Hostelco 2008 include “Hotel Univers,” a 600-sq/m space showcasing the latest world products and trends from the hotel sector.

Probat Showroom Inaugurated

The Probat-Werke von Gimborn Maschinenfabrik GmbH recently opened its Emmerich showroom. This new salesroom presents the complete range of specialty roasters in an original shop roastery that includes a cafe. Probat now offers hands-on advice within the growing market of specialty roasters, and is enhancing its already extensive training opportunities.

Managing director Stephan Lange presented a speech at the opening. Daniel Schmidt, head of shop roaster sales, symbolically handed out a sampler to the training center represented by its head, Inga Schäper and Dieter Hollenders, who then did a roasting on a shop roaster.

The “Probat Baristi” provided all attendees with coffee specialties in the cafe area. Besides the Probatino, the showroom focuses on the new generation shop roasters Probatone 5, 12, 25 and 50-kilogram batches.
