Modern Process Equipment

Pacific Bag Helps In Savings
Pacific Bag offers weighing and filling machines that increase production speeds which cut down on product waste. The machines are capable of drying products like coffee, tea, nuts, spices and other dry products, and with a push of button, can place them into a waiting package. “Capable of weighing ten to eighteen bags per minute,” the company says, “PBI offers machines that can weigh 1/2 oz to 5 lbs. of product at 1/100 oz resolution. Between the savings realized through less labor and less waste, these machines typically pay for themselves in less than a year.”

H.B. Fuller provides its HL-4165 CLARITYTM adhesive, an aggressive, low-viscosity, non-PSA type adhesive for use on glass, plastic and metal containers. It provides excellent bonding at both overlap and pick-up. This clean machining adhesive leaves a virtually invisible glue line when applied in a typical thin film. Sensor Products Introduces Pressurex
Sensor Products Inc. introduces Pressurex, a large film similar to a thin sheet. It changes color, reacting with mating surfaces, helps in packaging food and drug by sealing the pressure and shows weak spots and wrinkles sealing surface. Pressurex is used to verify and record pressure distribution during equipment set-up, preventive maintenance and product changeover for various Form/Fill/Seal, Deposit/Fill/Seal, and CAP/MAP systems, says the company. It is also useful in package, measuring interface pressure during ultrasonic welding, and taking in nip impression between rollers. Pressurex is an NDT (non-destructive testing) concept that can greatly enhance yields and improve quality with a relatively minor investment.
