U.S. Nutraceuticals Staff Promotions
U.S. Nutraceuticals, a Florida-based manufacturer of supercritical fluid botanical extracts, announced the promotion of two key personnel, according to the company president, Fred B. Gregg.

“The promotion of Dr. Evans and Dr. Uy Nguyen adds an exceptionally high level of experienced scientific talent to our technical services and research and development team. These talented scientists are expediting our goal of becoming the premiere manufacturer of nutraceutical botanical extracts processed using supercritical fluid extraction.”

Bellissimo Adds Staff
Bellissimo Coffee InfoGroup has hired Rhonda Kalista as its new administrative director. Kalista previously held public relations and customer service positions at Intrax Global Education Exchange, Eicon, Inc. and Rizzoli Bookstore, all of San Francisco.

Kalista is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Bellissimo, including inventory and shipping management, tradeshow coordination, purchasing, records management and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, banking, vendor selection and quality and cost controls.

“Rhonda has all of the qualities we were looking for in an administrative director,” says Bruce Milletto, president of Bellissimo Coffee InfoGroup. “She is extremely organized, and her experience in managing fast-paced office environments and providing top-notch customer service will be invaluable to our company.”

Kalista, who is fluent in Italian, taught English as a second language for ten years in Milan, Italy.

New Filterfresh President
Filterfresh Coffee Service Inc., a subsidiary of Van Houtte Inc., recently announced the appointment of Roger Cohen to president.

Cohen most recently served as president, Filterfresh Franchise Group, LLC, in which he oversaw franchise operations as well as marketing programs, national sales and business development for all operations in the U.S. In his new role, his responsibilities have expanded to include direction over all Filterfresh operations in the U.S.

Cohen’s association with Filterfresh began in 1988 when he and his wife started one of the original 13 Filterfresh franchises in the United States. He was the founding president of the Filterfresh Independent Franchise Association and chaired the joint Filterfresh Corporation/Franchisee Marketing Council. In 1999, with the sale of his Filterfresh franchise to Filterfresh Coffee Service Inc., Cohen assumed the position of vice president, Filterfresh Coffee Service Inc., in which he provided leadership over the Filterfresh Franchise Program, as well as the Franchise community.

Harris Tea Makes Changes
Bruce Klodt recently joined the Harris Tea Company as vice president - retail sales and marketing.

Klodt has 25 years experience in the beverage industry, most recently director of sales - store brands with Sara Lee Coffee and Tea, Consumer Brands. He began his career with Southern Tea Company, Marietta, Georgia, in the manufacturing department. He progressed into sales and eventually into senior management positions including vice president of sales for Southern/Tetley private label division.

Klodt will direct private label sales for all Harris domestic locations serving clients throughout North America.

In addition, Richard Haas has been named corporate director of marketing.

Haas has been with the Harris Family for almost two years. After 20-plus years in the food brokerage business, he joined Harris and has made major accomplishments within the company. He will direct marketing efforts for all Harris domestic locations servicing clients throughout the United States and Canada. In addition, Haas will be responsible for the continuing developmentof international markets and new product innovation and exploration.

Jitters Coffee Promotes Beeson
Jitters Gourmet Coffee and Café has promoted Chris Beeson to chief operating officer. Beeson started with Jitters Gourmet Coffee, Inc. as director of operations in 2000. Prior to joining Jitters, Chris Beeson was a director with Red Robin International supporting east coast and mid-west operations. Prior to that Beeson as a multi-unit director operating TGI Friday and RedFish restaurants.

Jitters Gourmet Coffee, Inc. is a privately owned company with café and coffee roasting operations in Nevada, Arizona, California and across Asia.
