Probat’s Alliance for Green Coffee

Probat from Emmerich on the Rhine, the company Mahlkönig, a producer of grinders from Hamburg, Germany and the Italian company La Marzocco, an espresso machine manufacturer from Florence, are jointly running a leased coffee farm in the East African town of Songwa in Tanzania.

The project’s vision is to bring people back to the source of coffee and give them a better understanding of the subtleties but also the complications encountered during cultivation, processing and marketing of green coffee in development countries. All three companies are of the opinion that this is an important service to their customers, their employees and other actors of the coffee industry. In order to reach these goals it is necessary to participate in the operation and management of a coffee farm over a longer period of time. For more information, visit www.c-g-gmbh.de.
